About Ruth Racz

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama who has spent 14 years working with individuals with a variety of mental illness diagnoses including psychotic disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and family issues, and co-occurring conditions in the community mental health setting. I received my Master’s Degree from Troy University in 2011 and have been working at the same company full-time since then. I have been married for 27 years, and we have 3 boys (25, 22, and 10). I like for our interactions to be conversational and will use reality therapy, cognitive behavioral approaches, and mindfulness. In this space, you are free to be who you are and talk about what is important to you. There will be no judgment, and I urge you to be real and talk about whatever you want. You are taking the first steps to a better life, and I am glad to be here for it.

“She's a great therapist that listens and has given me some of the best advice to handle some of the situations I am currently going through right now.”

“Ruth is an amazing therapist. Her listening is on point, and she’s incredibly easy to speak to. I look forward to my sessions every week.”

“So far it’s been wonderful!! She is very comfortable. It is so easy to talk to her. It’s like talking to a certified girlfriend haha. I appreciate how honest and judgement free she is when talking to her and asking for advice. I also like how she relates with her own relationships to mine.”

“I've been seeing Ruth for a few months now and she's a breath of fresh air! Because of her, I would recommend anyone to Betterhelp!”

“She is amazing!”

“Excellent work Ruth. Thank you!”

“I love her so much! Our sessions are always very thorough, understanding, and helpful. I've only had her as my therapist for a few weeks and have recommended betterhelp to so many friends who are also curious about therapy because of how amazing she is. She has helped me work through so much in the short time of talking to and knowing her!”

“Ruth is amazing, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring as a therapist! In the short time I’ve known her, she has became very dear to me. She has made my experience with BetterHelp exactly what I needed it to be. I highly recommend. 100/10”

“She has helped me through one of my worst times in my life and I will be forever thankful. She is amazing!”

“Ruth has been great to work with! She’s very kind, compassionate, and really makes you feel heard during sessions. Couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“Ruth is so wise and I enjoyed talking with her. If you’re reading this and considering therapy, please talk to someone. She was so helpful to me (first time in therapy). She listens and gives great advice and her voice is very calming.”

“I am a strong advocate for mental health among teachers and I have suggested BetterHelp several times.”

“Always on time. Asks questions to make me think critically.”

“Ruth has been very present with listening to my gripes, complaints and concerns. She has shared several pieces of advice that I have found useful thus far.”

“Ruth is such an amazing, supportive therapist. Her style is very laid back and casual (at least in our conversations) and that is just what I love. I don’t constantly feel like I need to solve a problem, but rather I can just share what’s on my mind and know that she’ll give me support. With that being said, though, Ruth can get down to business when need be and help me realize what may be going on and how to change it and what steps I can take to see improvement.”
