About Willie Johnson

Hello, my name is Willie Johnson, MSW, LCSW- Thank You for considering my services…

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NV and Utah, with more than 30 years of experience helping individuals, couples, families, and groups address challenges including anger, trauma, attachment issues, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and other mood disorders.

One of the most important parts of healing is learning to distinguish your true identity from your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and physical experiences. You are not your body. You are not your feelings. You are not your emotions. While you experience these things, they do not define who you truly are.

This idea led me to write about sadness in a new way — as something clever enough to manipulate us the way a pimp manipulates: through control, false promises, and emotional dependency. I explore this concept, along with practical tools for reclaiming your identity from it, in my books available at www.SadnessIsAPimp.com. I often recommend these resources to clients as a companion to our work together.

Within our therapeutic relationship, you will learn to recognize and identify the emotional patterns and secondary responses that may be attempting to manipulate, control, or negatively shape your character and personality. Therapy is designed to help you release guilt, pain, trauma, and emotional burdens caused by harm done to you, harm done to others, or even harm you may have caused yourself.
Our goal is not simply to cope with emotional struggles, but to work toward true healing and emotional freedom. Through self-reflection and therapeutic guidance, you can become more self-aware, challenge unhealthy thought patterns, and develop healthier ways of functioning in everyday life.

I believe prioritizing your mental health is an investment in yourself and an active step toward healing. If you’d like to explore these ideas further outside of session, visit www.SadnessIsAPimp.com for my books and additional resources.

Best Regards,
Willie E. Johnson, LCSW
