About Rachel Vinson

I am licensed in Texas with over 10 years of professional work experience. I have helped clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, trauma and abuse, motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I am especially passionate about treating people who have experienced trauma (however large or small), and I use a combination of somatic healing and cognitive-based healing to address both our thoughts and our nervous system’s response to trauma. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I have experience working in private practice, virtual intensive outpatient therapy, prison and jail settings, and with sex offender treatment. I enjoy getting creative with clients to help them identify coping strategies, calming methods, and problem solving solutions that work for them as individuals. I approach each new client with a non-judgmental mindset and focus on creating a trusting relationship where growth can occur organically. It is important to me that clients feel engaged in and a vital part of their treatment, after all, you are the expert in your own life! It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

“Rachel has been able to help me with issues I’ve been carrying around for DECADES. I’ve had therapy in the past, and to be honest I never stuck with it long term because I wasn’t seeing any results and it was actually an unpleasant experience. However, with Rachel, I’ve been seeing her for about 9 months now and I’m making more progress in my life than I could have ever imagined. I’m very grateful for her spectacular help!!”

“Rachel is very attentive and listens to my concerns. She checks on me often”

“Rachel has been able to meet me where I am. I didn’t feel the need to recap every detail of my past or even present before talking about what I need right now. Even after just a few sessions I feel that she has been very, very helpful and I intend to continue talking with her!”

“I was always nervous to go to therapy, worried about unpacking my feelings. But therapy has been so much more than that for me- it’s given me a fresh start and a chance to re-program my mind to live my best life and to appreciate who I am for the first time in my life.

Rachel has helped me get back on my feet, and I can’t recommend her enough. She listens so well, is a shoulder to lean on, and gives me tools and resources to get better. I feel so seen when I talk to her, and I love how she checks in on me even after our sessions. Rachel has seriously changed my life, and I’ve only met with her twice. My husband has even noticed a significant difference in me, in my peace, and in my joy. Thank you BetterHelp for helping me turn my life around.”
