About Marla Moreno

Hi, my name is Marla,
I am a licensed professional counselor in Oregon with 8 years of experience working as a counselor and therapist. I have worked with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, adjustment challenges, social and relationship issues, trauma, Bi-Polar, Anger , self-esteem, communication challenges, and Internet use issues.
I believe that everyone has the capacity to reach an improved state of health. I employ an eclectic approach to counseling, with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral, Rational Emotive Behavioral, Motivational skills, mindfulness and somatic skills that support improved health.
Every day we make Choices. Sometimes we are not even aware of the choices we are making or thoughts we’re thinking, until we are facing the implications of those thoughts, words and choices. Learning skills to support improved communication and behaviors often result in improved problem-solving capacity, feelings of increased self-esteem, calm, and peace in our relationships at home, at work and especially with ourselves.
I specialize in working with humans ages 18 to 75yrs old.. My style is empathetic, direct, and warm. I engage an integrative, holistic, and mindful approach to counseling.
I’d like to assist you in identifying the goals you want to work toward; along with forming a treatment plan to navigate the steps and process in the achievement of those goals. If you are ready to take that step, I’m here and I look forward to meeting and working with you.
