About Dina Payne

Hello! Choosing to speak to a therapist is not always easy, but at times, we all need someone to talk to, who understands and who can be a neutral person to talk to. I want you to be able to feel comfortable in a non-judgmental atmosphere. When we talk, I hope that you find that I am understanding, knowledgeable and that together we can develop a plan to help you begin to feel better and to reach your goals.
My name is Dina Payne, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Illinois. I earned a Masters Degree of Social Work at St. Louis University in 2008 with an emphasis on School Social Work and Marriage and the Family. I have been so lucky to work in a variety of settings with the foster care system, a college, a high school, and as an individual therapist working with adolescents, adults, with families and also a couples counselor. In my free time, I enjoy walking the dogs, reading, yoga and crafts.

“I have recommended BetterHelp to tons of people bc of Dina. I actually enjoy therapy. I’ve always hated it. But with Dina, I like it.”

“Dina has been awesome since I started talking to her in March. There is still a lot I need to work through but she is helping me through my new diagnosis and really getting down to things I've never talked about or dealt with before.”

“Dina was a wonderful counselor and I thank her for her services. She is very in tune and goes the extra mile. I definitely recommend her to anyone that needs a listening and gentle ear.”

“Very helpful. Gets to the root of the problem. Professional. Supportive.”

“Dina is awesome. In the short time we have been having sessions she has made me feel so much better about everything. I still have a long road but I'm glad I finally took the leap.”

“I just started working with Dina and she has been an excellent listener, supporter and cheerleader!!!”

“Dina Payne made me feel confident speaking with my adult daughters. I really was at a lost with words expressing my disappointment with my daughters. Dina helped me with ways of communicating with them without hurting their feelings. I was able to tell them my feelings and not being defensive. I would definitely recommend Dina.”

“After a couple of sessions with Dina, I feel much better and I am able to analyze situations better. I would highly recommend anyone who is questioning whether or not to go to therapy, to try it for at least a couple months. Dina and BetterHelp have been an amazing resource in my life that I've denied needing for too long. I can't thank you enough for the clarity and support. It has truly helped me for the better.”
