About Deborah Wetzel

I am a licensed professional counselor in Wisconsin with more than 14 years of experience. I have worked with clients of all ages with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, marriage and family issues, infidelity, addictions, self-esteem, bipolar, grief and loss, personality disorder, OCD, and ADHD. I have also counseled many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don’t believe in stigmatizing labels. My therapeutic approach can include cognitive-behavioral, rational-emotive therapy and dialectical-behavior therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs and goals.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

“Deborah had been really understanding and shares advice/tools that help my brain think through things I am struggling with in a productive way.”

“Very understandable and relatable”

“Deborah is a great therapist. She understands the challenges I face and helps me figure out how I should cope with them. I am much more resilient and I have grown up emotionally so much, thanks to her.”

“Deborah is a great listener and is very supportive.”

“I’ve been working with Deborah for the past month now and I’ve noticed change within myself that I would have never thought I’d see. She listens to me and if I say something in our sessions she always asks the right questions and we dive deeper into it. Deborah is an amazing person.”

“In one session, I felt connected to Deborah and felt she really listens and cares. I’ve had other experiences with counseling/ therapy that were ok, but Deborah makes me feel safe. Super excited to continue!”

“Patient and understanding. I appreciate her expertise. She is the biggest help for me.”

“Great provider”

“I can finally start to see significant improvement in myself. I am healing from decades of trauma, becoming wiser and stronger. Deborah is really very helpful and guides me wherever I need help.”

“Deborah does a great job of listening to where I am at in my mental health, giving exercises to work on between sessions, and bringing in faith based concepts which is valuable to me.”

“Best therapist I've ever had. Very intuitive and intelligent. Extremly supportive.”

“Great input, always accommodating to our schedule”

“Deborah Is so thoughtful. She checks in on me thru the week. She will help me find a time to fit my schedule. She truly cares about your health and well being. She offers alot of ideas and resources to help you work thru things. I love the fact that I can also bring my faith into our sessions.”

“I canceled on Deborah multiple times due to not being able to talk about my concerns/problems. She never made me feel guilty despite me not being respectful of her time. She continued to support me by sending assessments and messages making sure I was okay and checking in on me. I've never had a therapist who wouldn't give up on me even though I have wanted to give up on myself. I feel confident that Deborah truly cares about her patients and wants to help no matter what the severity of the issues are. She's an angel.”

“We have only had 3 sessions with her. However, I feel our sessions are going well. She’s easy to talk to and she seems to understand how we are feeling…”
