About Daniel Schroeder

I am a dual licensed mental health counselor with licenses in both substance-abuse and mental health disorders. In my time as a counselor I have worked with a broad client base, including people struggling with major depressive disorder, bi-polar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, relationship conflicts both professional and personal, family problems, and substance abuse disorders. I have been greatly honored to walk with some very brave and inspiring people and look forward to working to more people who are ready to make real changes to their lives.

My approach looks to first establish an environment of unconditional positive regard in which a person can feel safe to bring out the most authentic parts of their lives and make meaning out their struggles. I do this by combining cognitive behavioral theories, emotion focused treatment, and mindfulness. Each person I connect with will have a personalized approach that will help them find the places in his/her life that can bring about a better quality of living.

“Extremely helpful and professional”

“He helps me realize my potential for greatness beyond what I think about myself moment to moment. He snaps me back to reality and offers me suggestions for my obstacles. He keeps me accountable and that I am the captain of my ship to steer my way in the direction I need to go, not blaming or expecting someone else to do it for me. He keeps it real because that’s what life is, and it helps me, the dreamer, find my way.”
