About Christina McGinn

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Wisconsin with 15 years of counseling experience. I enjoy empowering clients to feel assertive and able to face anything. I have experience in crisis services, corrections, private practice, and community practice. I am certified in Functional Family Therapy (FFT). I am interested in individual, group, couples, and family therapy. I have a Bachelors degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin Parkside and a Master of Science in Education-Counseling from Concordia University Wisconsin.
My style of counseling is utilizing Motivational Interviewing techniques to elicit change talk. My approach is comforting, supportive, and encouraging. I have experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy with interest in forgiveness, healthy relationships, and co-occurring disorders.
