About Carey
I’ve been in the human services field since 2000. I have provided services to children and youth, adults, and the elderly in county, in-patient, hospice, community-based and clinical agencies. I have worked with folks who have an array of issues including substance use disorders, grief and loss, abuse, trauma, parenting and family issues and change of life issues. Some of the diagnoses I have treated include: MDD, GAD, ASD, ADHD, ODD, DMDD, OCD, bi-polar disorders type I and II and personality disorders.
My treatment approach is strongly oriented to CBT/ REBT, but the modalities are flexible and allow me to meet you in your journey to becoming a You who is more at peace with how you got to where you are and how you want to get to where you want to go on your way to a more fulfilling life.
When you’re ready to begin that journey, I’ll be ready to support and empower you to take your next step forward. Hope to hear from you and take care.

What clients say
- “Carey is a compassionate, thoughtful, and genuinely supportive therapist. He creates a comfortable, judgment-free environment where it feels easy to be open and honest, while still offering the perspective and guidance needed to work through difficult situations. I appreciate that he listens carefully, asks meaningful questions, and helps me look at things from angles I may not have considered on my own. I always leave our sessions feeling like the time was worthwhile and that I have a clearer understanding of what I’m working through. I would absolutely recommend Carey to anyone looking for a therapist who is caring, professional, and easy to talk to.”

- “Carey has been incredibly helpful in providing me with information related to my thoughts and behaviors that contributed to my reasons for therapy. He has allowed me to separate what is my responsibility to resolve and what, if any, was not my responsibility. This has allowed me to actively work to repair my relationships and understand when others are treating me in a way that negatively affects me. In short, Carey has helped me get perspective that I was not comfortable seeking from my relationships and that has given me a restored ownership of my life. Thanks, Carey!”
