About Barbara Defazzio

I am licensed in Florida with 40 years of professional work experience.
I had a private practice in Massahusetts for over 20 years, specializing in the treatment of sexual abuse. I have had extensive experience in the treatment of PTSD due to abuse. Since moving to Florida I have continued to work in the area of sexual and physical trauma, and I have worked with clients who experienced the foster care system as children. I have also done a lot of post adoption work with families working through the normative experiences of integrating the newly adopted child into the family unit. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, family conflicts, trauma, abuse, coping with grief, & coping with loss.
