About Kimberly Sylla

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker ( LCSW ) with over 20 years of experience as a therapist working with diverse populations and age ranges. I received a Master of Social Work Degree from Temple University with a concentration in Direct Service. My Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology was obtained at La Salle University. I also have a certification in advanced drug and alcohol counseling. I have worked with clients experiencing a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, psychosis, substance use disorders and vocational, educational, social and familial stressors.

My therapy style is warm, engaging and non-judgmental in order to highlight the unique strengths of each individual. I am dedicated to meeting people where they are and creating a therapeutic alliance based upon trust and mutual respect. My integrative approach combines Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy ( CBT ), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy ( DBT ), Ecological Systems Theory, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Informed Care.

I look forward to joining with you and supporting you each step of the way along the path you choose at your own pace and within your own context. In my spare time I enjoy literature, travel, culture and quality time with my son. Fun fact! I graduated from the Beasley School of Law at Temple University in 2009.

It would be my pleasure to work with you!

“Therapy with Kim has been quite helpful. In a short period of time I have refined my goals and have understood my relationship with my grief. I have gained confidence moving forward. I appreciate the support, validation and compassion. Thank you Kim.”

“I am 69y/o and I've been in and out of therapy throughout different phases of my life. I was given a therapist by Better Help to help me deal with anxiety. With her help I have worked through my journey of divorce, living alone, retirement and just aging in general. As the onion peeled back we delved into some family-of-origin issues which for me was the source of my anxiety. Kim has been the best therapist I've ever had, hands down. She keeps me on track and guides me through my though processes as if she's known me her entire life. If you are hesitant about starting with therapy online, don't be. Take the step. You're worth it.”

“Just from our first 2 sessions I feel I can express to her things she will be helping me achieve she pin points things I know I need help with but try to avoid. She’s great so far”

“Kimberly has been great. We have only had 2 sessions so far but I’m really enjoying our sessions and the treatment plans she is helping me with. The worksheets help me as well. Highly recommend.”
