About William “Bill” Mcleod

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, and National Certified Addiction Counselor with a master’s degree in clinical psychology. For more than two decades, I’ve had the privilege of supporting adults across the lifespan—including young adults and older adults—as they navigate life’s emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges.

My therapeutic approach is trauma informed and tailored to each person’s unique needs. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, and I can integrate faith based psychotherapy when a client requests it. I consider myself a practical and collaborative therapist, and I work to create a safe, compassionate environment where people can explore their stories with honesty, courage, and hope.

I draw on insight, humor, and empathy to help clients work through feelings of isolation, shame, anxiety, and uncertainty while building resilience, purpose, and emotional clarity. I have extensive experience supporting individuals facing depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, anger, and substance use disorders, as well as those navigating major life transitions.

I also have a deep commitment to men’s mental health, workplace stress, blended family dynamics, attachment concerns, and recovery from relational wounds or sexual assault. In my work with older adults, I help individuals and families navigate aging, cognitive changes, memory concerns, and shifting roles with dignity and compassion.

At the heart of my practice is a simple belief: every person has strengths, gifts, and the capacity for healing. My role is to walk alongside you, honor your story, and support your movement toward greater wholeness and a more meaningful, satisfying life.
