About Tanya Younce

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Ohio with over 20 years’ experience in all levels of mental health care, and trained in several treatment modalities (CBT, ACT, IFS, Rogerian, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused, and Experiential). I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at James Madison University in Virginia, and my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling at Xavier University in Cincinnati.

I believe that we are all wired to find equilibrium – the state of rest and balance with our body, mind, and spirit. But sometimes outside influences like relationships, work, money, illnesses, politics, and world issues keep that from happening. We take a few steps forward, only to get pushed back much further. If you find yourself struggling to cope and hold things together in the midst of stress, loss, and/or a radical change, Life is likely calling for you to grow. Engaging in therapy is like going on a journey with a trusted guide who sees, hears, teaches, and supports you wholeheartedly. I am a therapist who can lead you to new insights, challenge outdated beliefs and patterns, heal old wounds, and develop the skills to cope with life adversities – now and in the future.

“Tanya is just incredible: she just TRANSFORMED me. Therapies are often experienced as a violent process of demolishing old ways to build new, healthier, ones. Tanya has the talent of helping one build those new ways without one even feeling it; only the improved results are here to tell us that something has indeed changed. I will forever be grateful for Tanya's expertise, talent, support, and empathy.”

“Tanya is very informative and patient.”

“Coming into therapy I didn’t know what to do or to expect and she led me ride along. She has been very supportive and very interactive, and she really has got me thinking. I really enjoy her conversation, her point of view, and I feel very confident in her skills. I really feel like she’s helping me to see the light at the end of the tunnel”

“Tanya has been a delight. She listens and really tries to understand. She is not overly pushy and lets her patients take the reigns on the sessions. I’ve been pretty happy to have her listening ear and empathy for a few months now.”

“She is so amazing, so intuitive and the cost for the value you get is ridiculous.

She is the best therapist I have ever been too and I’ve been to a few and know a few as friends.”

“Tanya has been very helpful. She listens to me and helps me figure out how to handle hard situations. I’m glad I have her to talk to when I need someone. She always responds in a timely and respectful manner.”

“My counselor is great! Even though I didn’t fully get to meet her or know her in person, she makes it easy and comforting to allow myself to explain and listen to my concerns and ideas. It’s good to have someone be by your side and help with guidance.”
