About Tamra Priestley

Hi, there! My name is Tamra Priestley and I am a clinical mental health counselor (CMHC) living in Utah. I am also a Life Coach, specializing in the essentials of self-mastery, and relationships. It is my passion to help people have successful relationships, first with themselves, and then with others. It has been a joy to help those who are seeking to learn skills necessary for successful relationships! Most people just don’t know how! I have also been privileged to help many individuals overcome the devastating effects of anxiety and depression. I experienced this devastation myself and no longer suffer from those emotions. I want to help you learn how to live more peaceful, productive, and happy lives. I have also worked with many individuals who have experienced pain from trauma and abuse in all the ways that can happen. This leads to lack of motivation, poor self-esteem, lack of confidence, depression and anxiety. Trauma and abuse may affect every part of your life until healing occurs. I want to help you heal those parts of your past.

My experience includes working in three private practices (now my own) and for a company providing services to their employees, including first responders and law enforcement and their families. I have worked with the elderly experiencing end-of-life issues. I love working with people from all walks of life. Each person is so important! Drawing from my own experiences as a single parent, a son who has several challenges, adoption, divorce, abuse, and many other experiences helps me to utilize my professional training in a way that is personal and effective. I believe in homework that helps you grow beyond the sessions.

I welcome the opportunity to help you in your current challenges to find meaning and purpose, learn new skills, and experience a healed and happier life!

“Tamra has been great at giving me tools to deal with my negative thoughts and emotions. I'm already doing better and its only been a couple weeks. I also greatly appreciate her relating things to my faith.”

“Tamra is very knowledgeable and respectful. She taught me methods of how to heal by myself so that I don’t need to rely on each therapy session to process my trauma.”

“She’s awesome and attentive and caring and helpful! I would recommend her to anyone.”

“Tamra, she is such a light. She is grounded, and confident in the gifts that she has and knows that the tools she can give you will help you! And they do help. She helps me feel seen and understood while also being straight forward in a gentle way to help me see things that maybe I do not see. It’s very safe when I speak with her. She is amazing at what she does! I highly recommend her. Equally kind and professional in all the right ways. I appreciate her gifts, knowledge and time.”

“My sessions with Tamra have been incredibly helpful. She has an amazing toolkit which she continues to deploy tools from, teaching me physical and emotional ways to cope with trauma and daily stresses. She's helped me learn to regulate when triggered, release negative emotions, and relax when overwhelmed and full of tension. I am so happy to have been connected with her!”

“Tamra is the most competent and capable therapist I’ve worked with. She’s incredible”

“I appreciate the tools, but I would like more time to discuss feelings and not just ways to move past feelings.”

“So far my experience with Tamra has been great. She has offered some great practices and insights that have helped me on my journey and I look forward to continue working with her.”

“All can say is she is amazing”

“Tamra is kind, empathetic and insightful. She’s got a good sense of balance between listening and speaking, and also between saying what needs to be heard and delivering information with sensitivity (and without judgement). I very much appreciated the tools she introduced me to in order to deal with difficult daily issues. Tamra reads people well. She’s got a deep reservoir of knowledge and experience, and she wields it well as she helps guide you through difficult conversations.”
