About Stacey Sugar

“Anyone can tell you what to do, but the true ability to grow comes from understanding who you are.”

In 15 years of clinical practice, I’ve realized that within our uniqueness, we have one thing in common: We are all constantly writing our life stories. Many of us are passive biographers, believing that our book is already written, and that the ending is set in stone. Here’s the secret: Our lives are not linear, and we have the power to edit our narrative at any–and every–moment. While we cannot change our past, we can learn to change our perspective of it. Once we unlock our unconscious defenses, we gain insight about who we’ve become and unleash the potential to transform into who we authentically want to be.

When entering any new relationship, it is perfectly healthy–and encouraged– to take the time you need to test it out and make sure it feels right. I promise to meet you where you are, and provide you with the tools to explore yourself deeper and make transformations at your own pace. I will support you to find the strength and motivation that will allow you to be more open and committed to making the changes you desire. In our time together, we will explore the full range of your emotions, including feelings that you may not be aware of–yet! Bringing these unconscious elements into your present experience offers you a series of a-ha moments that lay the foundation for greater self-awareness and enable you to live your best life.

If you’re ready to dig deep, it is my honor to join you on your journey. Let’s remove the barriers that are blocking you from realizing your wants, needs, and actualizing your full potential!

“Stacey has an ability to cut through layers and layers of nonessential details, information, or feelings that would leave anyone else I know overwhelmed or confused, and dig right into something tangible, helpful, and oftentimes surprising. She's an amazing therapist who has helped me better understand my past and present and apply it directly toward building a better future.”

“Stacey is an incredibly considerate, thoughtful and smart person to work with. Not only does she make me feel seen & heard, she also knows how to challenge me and make me think differently about myself or a situation. Our work together has helped me not only in personal relationships with my partner and family members, but at work too. I love working with her and would recommend her to everyone I know if I could!”

“Stacey is a true gift in my life, word's can't thank her enough for all she's done for me. Stacey offers a warm, safe and non-judging space where I can express myself freely and honestly. “Stacey is the best, and has helped me so much, so grateful she's my therapist”

“I appreciate that she takes time to dig into your mind and know what you are really trying to say or not saying. With her guidance, I was able to really know who I am and learn how to better face life with challenges. I am continually given tools to unlearn things that hinder my growth as an individual. I have also gained tools to better myself and my relationship with others. She's a breath of fresh air! I've switched therapists in the past because it wasnt working and I am really glad to have found her. I am looking forward to continue working with her. Her patience and frankness is very refreshing and helpful and is what I really need in this platform.”

“Best ever”

“I think that after roughly two years in therapy, I may genuinely have learned and understood a thing (possibly two) about myself. So that's what it feels like...<br /> Stacey's amazing, has been from day one. Kind, insightful, supportive, all the things. If you're reading this, just know that without a doubt she is wayyy better than whoever fate threw you in with on your first go or two. You really would have clicked. But her current clients aren't going anywhere, mwahahaha!”

“Stacey is absolutely amazing and supportive therapist. You will leave your session not only feeling empowered, but also with skills to utilize in times of distress. She has shifted my mindset and truly changed my life for the better. I feel like a completely different person in the best way possible. This is her calling and it shows. I would highly recommend if you are ready to do the work, she will be by your side through it all.”

“Stacey is exactly what you want/need in a therapist. She takes what you say and interprets it in a way that really gets you thinking and figuring out what you are REALLY saying. She’s honest with you, which can be hard for anyone to hear, but necessary for growth. I appreciate her so much.”

“Stacey is amazing and extremely helpful with working through some life situations. She’s made a huge difference in my life.”

“She’s really changed my life! I’ve done in person therapy and online therapy for years before but she has given me a new perspective and really understands my goals.”

“In my time with Stacey, I have grown in ways that I never even thought I could. Ways that I prayed to change myself for years. I’m so thankful for her beautiful mind and in seeing me with all my flaws and extra baggage and helping me to conceptualize my past in a much healthier way for my future. She’s amazing, you won’t regret your time with her!”

“Amazing!”
