About Sean O’Hara

Hi, My name is Sean O’Hara. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York and Maine with over 5 years of experience working in the Mental Health field. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, grief and loss, life transitions, and family/relationship issues. I graduated from Fordham University in 2017 with an MSW, and have worked in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient and outpatient mental health facilities.

I am a solution-focused therapist with a person-centered approach. I strongly believe in the resiliency of the human spirit and identifying those things which motivate you as an individual. There is no judgment in my therapeutic process. My purpose for you is to create a therapeutic atmosphere that will meet you where you are at while exploring where you want to be. While I have specialty training in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), CT-R (Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing, my approach is always tailored to your needs in a way we both see fit to meet your goals.

Taking that first step to seek therapy can certainly be a challenge in and of itself, but if you are willing to take that step then I am committed to supporting and empowering you toward the life you are meant to lead. I look forward to working together.
