Trauma leaves us vulnerable, sensitive, and struggling to trust. Often, you may feel as though if you want to belong, you can never be your true-self. Your body holds onto your experiences long after the events have passed. Trauma may have caused you to wear a mask – to keep your true self safe and hidden.
