About Sara Veldhuizen

work with adults who want to better understand themselves and create meaningful, lasting change. My approach is insight-oriented and collaborative, helping clients explore patterns, emotions, and underlying dynamics—not just manage symptoms.
I’m especially well suited for people who are thoughtful, curious about their inner world, and open to reflection. Therapy with me tends to focus on understanding why things feel the way they do, and how greater awareness can lead to change.

If you’re looking for therapy that goes beyond surface-level coping and are willing to engage actively in the process, this may be a good fit.

“Great”

“Sara is amazing! She is very thought-provoking, a fantastic listener, and has been so helpful in my journey. Sara also suggests a variety of outside resources, and ways for me to continue my mental health work when not in therapy sessions.”

“I love sara, because she is real and raw and I love that when we talk it’s like I’ve been knowing her for decades and everything just flows and comes naturally.”

“Amazing therapist! Sara makes me feel comfortable and heard, while holding me accountable. She's been amazing at adapting tactics to meet me where I'm at. I highly recommend her!”

“I assumed I would have to meet a few therapist before I found a fit. I did not have to. She is makes me feel heard, validated, and accountable. She’s exactly what I asked for when I filed out my profile. I absolutely adore Sara.”

“Incredible, she is able to find underlying issues that you aren’t able to realize yourself, I’ve learned great exercises for calming down”

“Sara is an amazing human being!”

“Sara is great. I was really nervous to see a therapist and she was just really down to earth and easy to talk to. She helped me get through grieving and learning how to be a caretaker but still take care of myself. I will forever be grateful for my sessions with her.”

“I genuinely liked Sara from the first meeting. I didn't expect that. From the first session she gave me useful tools and has continued to fine tune as we go. Sara is relatable and sincere and tunes in very quickly to her client's personality and individuality. I didn't expect my initial match to be a keeper, but I would have signed up two years ago if I had known Sara would be my therapist.”

“Sara is an amazing therapist with valuable insight and can relate through personal experience with mental health while remaining professional. She is a great therapist and a wonderful human being.”

“Listens and has good advice.”

“She’s the best”

“Sarah is great at what she does, I came into this worried it would be one of those stereotypical, clinical, "how does that make you feel?", scenarios; but she immediately remedied that. Sarah is very laid back but still professional mix that makes you feel like your talking to an old friend but she latches on to the small details and makes you really think and open up. In my time with her, though short, she helped me rethink what my issues were and gave me multiple ways to help chip away at them to really find the actual problems through the noise. We're I able to continue to use the app I wouldn't change and hopefully I get to choose her when I come back.”

“Sara has been very helpful with the issues I’ve been facing. And, has also come up with some intuitive resources for me to assist me with my development and growth. Sara has been a great match for my needs and I am grateful to be working with her!”

“She is great”
