About Rhonda Palmer

Welcome! 🤗 I’m Rhonda Palmer, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, human being, and a big believer that change happens best in a space that feels safe, real, and judgment free. I have over 17 years of experience in Social Work, and I’m licensed in Missouri, Texas, and Arizona. I often assist Highly Sensitive People in navigating anxiety, relationship patterns, self esteem, neurodivergent experiences (including autism and ADHD), and more. I’m also certified as a Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional and Autism Spectrum Clinical Specialist.

If you’ve ever felt like you had to hide parts of yourself to be accepted, this is your space to drop the mask. I don’t believe in “fixing” who you are. Instead, I believe in helping you understand yourself, work passed old wounds, and to support you in working towards building a life for yourself that honors your strengths. I work best with people who are ready to be real, even if “real” means messy, unsure, or figuring it out one step at a time. You don’t need to impress me or get everything “right.” However, you do need to show up with honesty, responsibility, curiosity, and a willingness to grow because that’s how real change happens.

During our sessions, we’ll work together in a way that feels collaborative, respectful, and grounded. I’ll bring compassion and care, but I’ll also hold boundaries so our space stays safe and balanced. I don’t work well with people looking to control others, avoid responsibility, or seek validation without reflection.

During our sessions, I’ll utilize therapeutic modalities such as CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution Focused Therapy, and Brainspotting. Mostly, I’ll bring empathy, humor, and the belief that you already have the wisdom inside of you, I’m just here to help you uncover it.

“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” – Albert Einstein

“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” – Nelson Mandela

If you’re ready for this kind of work, I welcome you.

“She is very straight forward and a great listener. Helped me with just one session and looking forward to talking with her again.”

“I love Rhonda! She's so patient”

“Rhonda is saving me”

“At first I was scared to try a different therapist, but after finding Rhonda. I've never been happier and felt more seen!”

“Rhonda has been wonderful to work with over the last few years. She's always gentle and kind, and really listens. She offers multiple ways and methods to assist you in your journey. She will make suggestions but is never pushy or remotely judgmental. She responds in a timely manner and is always willing to work with you and your schedule. I cannot recommend her enough. She has helped me through a lot.”

“Rhonda is an angel!! She has changed my life so much and has a heart of gold. She really cares about her clients! She really understands the psychology of the human mind and explains it in layman’s terms and with such kindness. She has a way of explaining why she thinks I am having certain issues, however, she puts it in a way that I have never felt bad. She has really made me think and come to my own conclusions. Rhonda is a gem and I hit the jackpot when she was assigned to me.”

“she is very kind and compassionate - has a good memory of what I say also”

“Extremely kind and a great listener”

“She’s a very good listener”

“Rhonda is an amazing therapist!! She is one of the kindest people I have ever met. She is so thoughtful, patient, and really asks you questions to understand how to help you best. I have a complex set of issues and she's been able to help me bridge the gap of treating them simultaneously, which I haven't had a therapist do before. I've been in therapy since I was six and have been to at least 20 different practitioners over the years. I feel more comfortable talking with her than I have with any other therapist. Would highly highly recommend.”

“Very thoughtful and really listens to what I have to say. I’m still new to having therapy with Rhonda but so far she has been very professional and helping me work through some of my concerns.”

“Rhonda has been very helpful in my life”

“In the few sessions I have with Rhonda, I've felt more seen and heard then ever before. She is an amazing therapist and anyone lucky enough to be under her care will become a better version of themselves”

“Rhonda was awesome, very easy to talk to. Definitely tried to give any tools she saw fit to help me.”

“She’s a wonderful listener and assists me with navigating my thoughts/concerns.”
