About Rev. Laura Gillom

Hello, my name is Laura Gillom. I am an LCSW in Mississippi with over 15 years of psychotherapy experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including stress, depression, anxiety, family conflict, and transitions of life. I have also helped many people who have experienced all types of trauma and emotional abuse.

My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with dignity, respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don’t believe in stereotyping and stigmatizing labels. I use an eclectic approach to therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

“Amazing therapist”

“For the past two months, Rev. Laura Gillom has counseled me on family conflicts/ relationships , self awareness and other related issues. I definitely feel stronger and more peaceful based on the coping methods she suggested and various articles and exercises she shared. She listens and responds, prompts me to think and analyze my behavior and reactions to my conflict issues. The journal entries I wrote prompt self revelation, and she responds to my writings in a timely and encouraging manner. As long as I continue the work, I know that I have a more stable foundation upon which to stand. I thank God that He led me to choose this therapist. Rev. Gillom definitely fit my specific needs.”

“Effective listener who offers suggestions and practical strategies that I have been able to implement; thus, I am making progress toward coping skills.”

I am very grateful for her and would strongly recommend her services to anyone struggling with depression and anxiety”
