About Renee Joyce

Hello!

You are doing great by getting started! I hope you start to feel a bit better now that you’ve taken this next step in your therapy journey!

My name is Renee and I am passionate about working with clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck, burned out and who feel like they just need a break in life or clarity for what to do next.

Most of my clients have experienced trauma, anxiety, fatigue, stress, and overwhelm and many have been fighting so hard for things to feel different within themselves, their relationship, work, family or other areas of their lives.

Clients initially describe experiencing one or more of the following:

*High anxiety, rumination, spiraling or overthinking, panic, crash outs, deep fear of making a mistake or letting others down or not being accepted

*Difficulty focusing or staying motivated, wanting to get ALL the things done yet it is feels hard to start with just one

*Emotional overwhelm with trying to do everything and feeling like there is not enough time, energy or support

*Crash outs with long periods of spiraling or numbing on the couch or in bed and a pile of laundry or dishes waiting

*Trying to heal or stop conflict in a relationship yet feeling like something is still their fault or that nothing improves

*Trauma flashbacks, memories, nightmares, triggers, feeling stuck in fight, flight or freeze mode

*High people pleasing efforts yet still feeling hurt lonely or dissatisfied in friendships, family or relationships

*Shame-deep shame or guilt, fear of failure, not feeling like “enough” or feeling like “too much”

*Stuck in a survival pattern of work/school, eat, sleep, repeat and wanting more out of life

If you related to any of those experiences, please book your first appointment with me!

I believe people can grow, heal, change with the right tools, skills, supports and time. My approach is strength-based, client-centered and I incorporate evidenced based techniques and resources to help you along your path forward. We explore why you feel this way, how to stop cycles and what to do to feel better.

Many clients work on short-term goals to experience relief or improvement within 4-12 sessions. Several clients also continue deeper work for longer term therapy to strengthen personal development, self-understanding, trauma recovery and more.

My primary areas of focus are in: ADHD, Anxiety, Attachment, Autism, Break ups, Burnout (at work, school or parenting), Conflict in relationships, Communication, CPTSD, Dating, Divorce or Separation, Complex Grief and Bereavement, Neurodivergence, PTSD, Stress, Sensory Overwhelm and Adults with dysfunctional or toxic parents or family, and Adults who were once in foster-care. I work with persons aged 18 and beyond through individual therapy.

I look forward to learning more about you and in working with you to support your goals!

With gratitude,

Renee Joyce
