About Rebecca Marrs

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. I have over ten years of experience in the mental health field as a therapist working with individuals ranging from infancy, childhood, adolescents, adulthood, middle adulthood and old age. Also, have worked in various settings such as in the home, school, out in the community, agency setting and in my office. Their backgrounds have ranged from foster care, adoption, history of trauma, domestic violence, difficulty with peers/co-workers, auto-immune disease, LGBTQIA+, separation, divorce, reunification and court ordered therapy. Some diagnosed with MDD, GAD, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, Adjustment Disorder, School Phobia and ODD. I will complete an intake, which will include a mental status exam. This process will come naturally during the session as I will inquire about the reason why you have decided to start therapy and collaborate to determine what your therapeutic, personal and professional goals are. My office is a safe place where you can share your thoughts and feelings, feel heard, understood, validated and supported. You have a say each step of the way.

“What a great resource and easy to use. I strongly recommend.”

“She's very sweet and is very supportive. She offers me various ways to think about my situations.”

“I love working with her. She's a great therapist.”

“Very happy with Rebecca.”

“Rebecca is very genuine and kind. She is able to help us communicate and hear each other. Very helpful.”

“She has helped me so much and helped me remember that I am not alone.”

“She is easy to talk to.”

“Rebecca was kind and thoughtful. She made sure to have both sides be able to speak, and treated us as equals to make sure there was no imbalance. She helped us through a recurring argument that has gone on for years and we were able to flip that on its head and resolve it in the matter of three sessions. We're very appreciative of her expertise!”

“Rebecca is wonderful to talk to. She listens well and provides calm, considerate feedback.”

“Such a great therapist. Really listens to your needs.”

“Rebecca was my therapist for 1 year. She was there for me in good and bad times and helped me to cope with my own mental issues. Although we had a time difference and sometimes a language barrier, she taught me the right tools to overcome my anxiety and to believe in myself, that I can change my life and create my own happiness. She helped me to develop a positive and strong mindset and to see the value in myself. I can totally recommend working with her and choosing her as your therapist.”

“Rebecca is kind, calm, and supportive. She offers support in a respectful way and encourages self acceptance during our sessions.”

“She has been helpful and a great listener”

“Best therapist I’ve ever had, hands-down.

Rebecca is professional and prompt, funny and relatable, inclusive and thoughtful. I am a non-binary person, and my kiddo is non-binary, and Rebecca honors and respects our pronouns, and catches herself if she ever messes it up. Having a therapist who is inclusive of and an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community is of the utmost importance to me, and Rebecca makes me feel safe and at ease with her.

10/10 HIGHLY recommend!!”

“Ms. Marrs is patient, calm, and careful with her words especially if she needs to tell me something hard. I have benefited greatly from our work together”
