About Patricia Uhan

I am a licensed professional counselor in Missouri and I have worked in a variety of settings with individuals who have experienced a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and PTSD. My experience working in a community mental health center that served survivors of sexual abuse or assault allowed me to gain experience in PTSD, substance abuse, and personality disorders. Furthermore, I have also gained experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and dual diagnosis in a diverse population.

I am dedicated and passionate about providing the most effective care that takes all aspects of the individual into consideration in the context of their cultural identity. My therapeutic style is warm and empathetic. My approach depends on the needs of the client and what brought them to therapy; however, some of the approaches I utilize include cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and dialectical behavior therapy.

Therapy is a journey and I look forward to walking on that journey with you!

“Patricia is wonderful, she always helps me sort out my emotions even if that's just letting me cry it out an help regulate threw it. I would be lost without her input when I can't see another perspective correctly she helps me keep myself in check when I need that an she's helped me recognize that I've accomplished more then I thought.”

“She is always thoughtful an understanding of what ever problem I have to talk to her about”

“Patricia has been incredibly supportive-time and time and again. I lucked out with her being the first therapist I was assigned on Better Help. She has a very good balance of listening to me, offering new healthy habits, and validating every emotion that comes through during a session. She is able to pick up on what I need in the moment-then delivers and provides it always. She also is incredibly generous with her time and schedule whenever I has last minute adjustments to my calendar. I’m not sure how far I would had gotten with my healing journey if I had anyone else as my therapist. I’m grateful and feel lucky to have had her this past year during my move across the country.”

“Helped me through DV, PTSD, and a nasty divorce, very warm and friendly.”

“She is very nice and is a good listener”

“Patricia has been helpful across many areas for me. I am happy I was paired up with her. She is always ready to listen and takes a client centered approach. She has been a wonderful clinician to work with!”

“Such a stellar therapist. Patricia has helped me so much, especially in recognizing where I need to work on, validating my experiences, and making me feel better equipped to handle the challenges my mental health can sometimes give me. 10/10”
