About Nicole Bakewell

My name is Nicole Bakewell, and I was born in New York City but grew up most of my life in the Pocono’s. Growing up, I always had a desire to help people. I have worked with children, couples, and families for over a decade. I have been fortunate to provide clinical services to clients in a variety of settings including community mental health as well as telehealth services. I am trained and use a variety of treatment approaches tailored to meet client needs. I see myself as a mechanism that can provide necessary support to help you reach life goals and overcome challenges you may face in your life. My philosophy is centered around Behavioral and Trauma Centered and Focused. By providing a warm, caring, non-judgmental approach you will be on the path to living a more balanced life. My primary availability for sessions is Monday through Friday 5 AM to 10 PM EDT and occasional weekend, however I am available to discuss additional options if that time does not work well for you., I look forward to learning more about you and helping you identify any improvement opportunities that you may be facing in.

“Nicole has been phenomenal to work with. She listens and challenges me when I need it. I've grown with her so much over the years.”

“Nicole is personable and puts me at ease! I really like her style and look forward to seeing her.”

“She heard me and made me feel heard”

“I have pretty high expectations of what I need in a therapist and connecting with the "right one for me" is like finding the right hair dresser! I was also wary doing video sessions as I've always done in-person throughout my life. I tend to hold back for the first session until I feel the right connection. Nicole made me feel very comfortable right out of the gate and I was able to let my guard down. She really understands what you've said and she's REALLY heard you. She counters with extremely relevant questions that have you thinking on your own. Her use of CBT was more helpful than I expected. She is the first therapist I've had that didn't make me feel anxious before a session. I also didn't have an issue with post-session breakdowns that I've had in the past. She is to-the-point and doesn't beat around the bush or ask irrelevant questions that make you feel stupid. She also uses "normal-person" language instead of firing a bunch of confusing technical terms at you that you may not understand. If you are looking for a laid-back, easy-going, chill vibe type of therapist, Nicole checks all these boxes! Keep up the great work Nicole!”

“Nicole is a great therapist who is very understanding and intuitive to help me discover what’s blocking me in some ways as well as how to work through difficult situations.”

“Excellent! Very attentive and is completely neutral. I love how blunt Nicole is since I dislike sugar coating. My wife and I enjoy our sessions!”

“She's amazing !”

“Nicole offers great insight and asks hard but necessary questions to get me to think critically but appropriately about situations and my feelings. It helps greatly and I appreciate her view and experience to help me navigate issues.”

“Nicole is an amazing person who is very patient, understanding, and kind. She always responds and is very kind with the circumstances given to her. Very amazing person :)”

“Kind sincere helpful and honest. Very nice to speak to, I look forward to my sessions.”

“It has been helpful to have Nicole as a therapist. She respects what my issues are and she is comforting with her support. Her expertise has helped me understand certain things that happen even after her sessions. She offers advice ahead of time as far as what reactions may come of certain topics and prepares me for what is to come and that has helped tremendously.”

“Nicole is really great at asking you questions to get you to think about your intentions in situations. She reminded me that I should be mindful of setting boundaries in relationships to have success in the future.”
