About Megan Deaver

I am licensed in Missouri with 10 years of professional work experience. I have worked in the psychiatric hospital setting, intensive outpatient, and private practice. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, lgbtq+ related issues, parenting issues, & depression. I also have experience working with coping with life changes. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. I am a naturally weird person and believe that should be celebrated in all of us. I am active in the Comicon and Renaissance Festival communities and believe fandoms and passions are one of the best ways to get healthy and keep healthy. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

I have also recently become a Chartered member of the BPS for those in Europe/the British Isles seeking counseling.

“My daughter is more open to communicate her feelings now and thanks to Megan we both gain more clarity after every session.”

“I really like Mrs Deaver, she has really calmed my anxiousness about starting therapy. She is very relatable, kind, yet holds me accountable. I find it funny that I can give a little on a situation and she can see the whole thing, referring to things I havent mention but are 100% accurate. It really is like talking to a friend, I greatly respect her opinion even though we havent have a long time together. I really do thank her for her efforts and availability.”

“She's very understanding and empathetic, and offers a lot of diverse perspectives on a range of topics. She makes me feel very heard, comfortable, and safe.”

“Megan has been amazing, she helps me through issues and gives me solutions to mitigate them in the future. Overall I’ve had a great experience with her and I feel more stable than I did before. I definitely recommend her!”

“Megan is very patient with me and listens to what I have to say. She provides me with ways to deal with each situation.”

“She respectful and attentive.”

“Megan makes sessions feel so low pressure and comfortable so that the uncomfy stuff is so much easier to unravel. I appreciate her metaphors and her way of calling out things that I wouldn’t know/notice on my own or from just talking to a friend. Very knowledgeable and brings up what is psychologically happening. I feel confident going into each week after our sessions. Recommend her for sure.”

“We've only met with Megan 2 times. We think she's wonderful and she listens to both of us. Things are looking up right now.”

“Megan is great even when I don't fully understand something myself she helps break it down where I can.”
