About Mark

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with over 36 years of professional work experience helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with grief and loss, bipolar disorder & depression, to name a few. I have worked inpatient, outpatient, residential, partial hospital programs and online. The most extensive was 19 years with the VA. My degrees are in Psychology and Mental Health. While I do not aspire to any particular theoretical approach, I am most closely aligned with Christian based , cognitive behavioral and solution driven therapies. The most important components of helping are communication, expressing emotions and having hope that change can occur.

  • “Mark is a very professional therapist, and I truly appreciate the way he not only listens to my insecurities and worries, but also helps me understand them on a deeper level. He provides me with knowledge in a very professional way giving me definitions of emotions, explanations of where my feelings come from, and helping me make sense of what I’m experiencing.<br /> Another thing I really like is that every time our session starts, he asks about the people around me. That’s something completely new for me, and it feels very caring and meaningful. I also appreciate how organized he is. He follows his own structured protocol, and he is always punctual both at the beginning and at the end of our sessions. I value that a lot.”
