About Mai-Trinh
Hi, thanks for visiting my profile page. My name is Mai-Trinh Tran, I go by Trinh. I am licensed to practice counseling in Texas and since 2016, on a part-time basis, have been helping various population groups in dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, abuse, motivation, self-esteem, & confidence. It has been a privilege for me to work with women survivors of domestic abuse and human trafficking. I also enjoy accompanying the young adult population facing challenges relating to sexual behaviors, intergenerational issues, and family dynamics and boundaries. My approach is based on the belief that you are the expert of your story and you have the resiliency and strength to overcome life challenges. My part is to help you discover such strengths and develop concrete plans leading to a healthy self-image and lifestyle. I also believe that as humans, we have choices and are responsible for our decision-making. It is a matter of creating and intentionally taking on choices that are best for you – even when circumstances seemingly dictate otherwise. I am glad that you are here. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy is a huge undertaking and I wish you peace and courage!

- “She knows what she is doing with her client. The most important point is to make client confident to share their thought. After that, she will make a topic of your issue, transparency point to point.”
- “She’s very helpful”
- “Ms. Tran is a very nice and understanding she has a lot of insight and gives very good perspectives on things that are sometimes hard for me to understand myself. Would definitely recommend.”
- “I’ve only started therapy with Trinh but this is the first time I feel understood by a therapist. I’ve gone through several- but I don’t think they truly understand my situation. Or they make assumptions or suggestions that are not helpful. Trinh understands the cultural perplexities that I personally deal with and that makes it a lot easier to open up/ explain what I’m going through. She listens with care and is compassionate from the very start. I look forward to continuing my therapy with Trinh.”
- “Mai-Trin Tran has experience in caregiving with a parent which is my primary challenge. She is helping me think about rearranging my schedule to find a better balance. She encourages time for self care to prevent illness and burnout. Just the thought provoking conversations have helped immensely. She has a very calm, caring demeanor. I would refer her care to anyone.”
- “Mai-Trinh is an expert and true professional. I feel truly cared for and am grateful for the techniques she has shared with me. I highly recommend her as a therapist”
