About Lorena Borella-Clements

We all inherently harbor the capability to heal from emotionally painful experiences.

I utilize an eclectic approach to psychotherapy based on where one is emotionally, physically and spiritually. I have experience in treating and helping clients reduce and better manage symptoms of stress, anxiety, lingering symptoms of trauma/PTSD and in coping with grief, loss and depression. I provide a safe and empathetic place for healing. Your thoughts, feelings and experiences can be brought to light, without fear of judgment. I provide coping skills and techniques on how to improve emotional health and well being.

It takes courage to initiate the process of healing and to identify that something is not working for ourselves. I am here to support & empower you, during your journey towards healing and emotional well being. I have been practicing and providing psychotherapy for 16 years.

I’m a multicultural therapist. I was born in Argentina and immigrated to the United States, when I was 6 years old. I grew up in the Bay Area of California. I provide psychotherapy in both English and Spanish. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UC Santa Cruz and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Sofia University in Palo Alto, California.

Documentation for courts, custody/DHS and HR are outside the scope of my practice.

“Lorena had great insights and listens very well. She has great suggestions and is very kind. She is very easy to talk to and gives great feedback.”

“I am grateful for Lorena. She has helped me so much. Our sessions have improved the quality of how I live my life.”

“Very helpful and patient”

“It is premature to assess anyone for anything. I, for example, have barely revealed myself because we're just starting. But since you're checking on Lorena Borella-Clements, she absolutely conveys compassion, interest, warmth, and has practical assessments and ideas. I will know more as we progress. I tend not to recommend anything or any service to anyone, as I can't control the experience or their perception, etc.”

“I enjoyed my sessions with Lorena. She listens thoughtfully and also challenged my thoughts in a good way. I needed that in a therapist.”

“Great listener. Helpful input. Non-judgmental. Professional. On time. Lorena has helped me in my journey to improve my mental health.”

“Lorena is a highly soulful individual. She precisely fulfills my needs by actively listening and assisting me in maintaining organization. Her demeanor is considerate and kind, demonstrating intelligence and clarity in communication. She consistently provides insights that enable me to progress effectively in my personal and professional life. I sincerely appreciate her support.”

“Lorena is supportive of my needs and has taught me many strategies over our past 1.5 yrs together. She has helped me to better understand myself, my anxiety and how to prevent /manage it. She truly listens to listen and has helped me SO MUCH!”

“Last time we had a session I found her comforting and I found her listening skills refreshing. I felt a weight off my shoulders.”

“Lorena engages in a sincere genuine manner that puts me at ease. Her sessions are a safe space for me to share and confide the challenges of the day. I always feel better after our time together. They have become just a part of my regular self-care. Like a massage, phoning a friend, reading a book, taking a walk etc. Most importantly, Better Help is affordable, and I don't feel like it's an indulgence. It's no different than what I would pay for a gym membership, an exercise class or going out to dinner.”

“She is here for you. She gives a great lead into what's going on and helps you navigate your self through whatever you're going through . She gives great tools and advice. I felt seen and heard with how I was feeling and dealing. I put her guidance and tools into practice and it was super helpful. It's like talking to a friend with expert training!”

“Very attentive and got straight to my main issues.”

“My therapist truly listens—not just to respond, but to understand. She creates a safe space where I feel heard and supported. The advice she gives is both practical and insightful, and it’s helped me gain real tools for daily life. With her guidance, I’ve learned skills to stay ahead of and prevent panic attack triggers and manage my anxiety more effectively. I feel stronger and more in control my mind because of her support, and I’m so grateful for the positive changes I’ve experienced.”

“I’m so grateful for Lorena’s kind and caring approach to therapy. I always feel very heard and she helps me by describing tools I can use to improve my mood and outlook. She is very understanding of a range of personal stressors such as family dynamics, work/compassion fatigue, and relationships.”

“Lorena is a great listener, empathetic, patient and supportive.”
