About Linda Turral

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years experience working with individuals, couples, and families. I earned a Masters Degree in Psychology from Florida A&M University in 1986, and I have been working in the mental health field since that time. I have extensive experience working with those struggling with such issues as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting issues, LGBTQ issues, marital problems, and stress related disorders. I believe in meeting each individual wherever they are in life, and helping them work through issues they are struggling with through a non-judgmental, professional approach towards self-awareness and personal growth.
I believe that a Cognitive-Behavioral approach to therapy helps clients achieve this goal. This involves working through feelings, developing coping skills, and challenging thoughts that are self-defeating or negative. I strongly believe in the therapy process and the impact it can have in helping you feel better and achieve greater emotional well-being. I want to emphasize that you’re not alone, and that I am available to help you work through this process. As your therapist, I would commit to helping you work through any problems that you are dealing with in a professional, therapeutic manner. I look forward to working with you as you journey towards the process of feeling better.

“Linda is an excellent listener, provides thoughtful responses, and does a great job of broadening my perspective on things. I leave every session glad that I made time for it. Even weeks when I feel very busy or that I’m doing just fine :) - I call in and at the end of the session think, “Wow, that was so helpful! I really needed that!” Linda is kind, understanding, supportive and empowering. So grateful for her.”

“I had gone through several therapists before finding Linda. What I appreciated about her was the incredible accepting, warmth, and non-judgemental space she provided. Every session I left feeling more optimistic and confident in myself. She is the best therapist I have come across and would recommend her to anyone! She emplafies the trust and care every therapist should express and is just a wholesome human being. Thank you for your endless support through the different stages of my life Linda and helping me be well again!”

“Linda is the only counselor of my 7 years of counseling that truly feels like she cares and is proud of the well being and progress I am making. She never pressures me to do things a certain way, never applies 1 solution to all my problems. Linda is the biggest advocate for people to have voice and investment in their own growth to to do better in their own lives at their own pace. It's wonderful to have her in my life and her words will always hold space in my heart with gratitude and appreciation.”

“Linda is very positive and patient and also understands the intersectionality of my issues. Her approach is holistic and she is super flexible with my ever changing schedule. I feel like she gives me tangible ways to manage my anxiety which I appreciate.”

“Therapy with Linda has been very valuable. My biggest takeaways have been regarding the core beliefs I am believing and learning how to be really intentional to change my mind and not partner with some of those lies I am believing, but to remember and hold onto what is true. I have truly appreciated her insight and wisdom!”

“I had tried a few other Therapists before Linda and there is no doubt she is an amazing, empathetic professional. Literally all I need in a therapist!”

“Great counselor. Always give me useful advice and she is a good listener.”

“Linda is THE BEST counselor I have ever worked with or known! She makes things very simple and she is able to connect so easily. She is very easy to talk to and very down to earth. I appreciate the privilege of having the opportunity to work with her.”
