About Kenneth “Patrick” Fisher

I am a doctoral-level Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor with two decades of clinical experience. My practice centers on anxiety in its many forms (the everyday kind, social anxiety, panic), on the stress that quietly wears people down, on grief and loss, and on the life transitions that leave you feeling unsteady.

A good portion of my work is with professionals, the high-responsibility people who hold everything together for everyone else and rarely get asked how they are doing. My practice is never limited to one kind of person, though. I also work closely with caregivers, with people managing chronic illness or disability, and with anyone wrestling with isolation, attachment, or the quiet sense that they have lost their footing.

My doctoral research looked at how adults use assistance animals to cope with anxiety, and the human-animal bond (regulation, companionship, meaning) is still a real thread in how I work. I bring particular depth to anticipatory grief, the heavy, ongoing kind caregivers carry while someone they love is still here, and to forgiveness, both toward others and toward yourself.

My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. You are the expert on your own life. I am here to help you make sense of what you are carrying, rebuild your footing and your sense of self, and move at a pace that actually works for you.
