About Kendall

My work as a psychotherapist emerges from the many diverse experiences I have had in life, from my encounters with people of different cultures and languages, from my travels throughout various parts of the world, and from my own soulful journeys in search of self. Like Santiago, in Coelho’s classic novel, The Alchemist, I have been in search of the very things for which clients often come to me and dream of becoming. Each of us, in some way or other, is in search of love, to love or to be loved and on a mysterious quest—deeply longing for something far greater than ourselves within ourselves.

I know the journey can seem, at times, long and hard. There are times along the way when you may feel sad, hopeless, frustrated, overwhelmed, numb, anxious, fearful if not terrified, disappointed in yourself or betrayed by another. You may have experienced or witnessed something that has traumatized you—leaving you bereft of any sense of meaning. Perhaps you are angry or resentful about something that has or hasn’t happened. Maybe you’re feeling alone, abandoned, left behind or believe that you never really mattered or are rejected for who you truly are. Or you’re just maybe a little lost right now and don’t know who you are anymore, much less where you’re going. Wherever you find yourself in this journey of life, on this personal quest of yours, chances are I’ve been there too.

What I bring to my clients in psychotherapy are the very things I myself have learned—some from books (and academic research) but mostly from my own richly vast experiences. From these, I have formed a personal, genuine, client-centered, strength-affirming, hope-sustaining, meaning-finding and an unconditionally accepting therapeutic approach.

If you are on such a journey and seek not so much an all-knowing guide but rather the company of a compassionate, caring, insightful and understanding person to walk beside you, then I will be both humbled and honored to work with you in psychotherapy. Let’s begin this awesome and amazing journey together…

What clients say

 • “Thoughtful and helpful”
 • “I’ve been seeing Kendall for a few months now, and I can honestly say he’s been an incredible support in my life. Kendall really listens to everything I share and always offers thoughtful advice. What makes him stand out is how he goes the extra mile, even off the clock, he’ll send along articles or exercises that fit what we’ve been talking about.

One of the most impactful things he did was help me find a way to get closure from a past relationship that had really left me hanging emotionally. He suggested I write a letter expressing everything I needed to say and then do a small ritual (like burning the letter) to symbolize letting go. It might sound simple, but it made a huge difference for me and helped me find a sense of peace I didn’t think I’d get.

If you’re looking for a therapist who genuinely cares and brings creative and thoughtful approaches to the table, I can’t recommend Kendall enough!”
 • “He listens to what I have to say and expands on the answers that I provide.”

 • “Kendall is amazing. He listens but also challenges me. He helps me think and process in ways I haven’t thought before. I highly recommend Kendall.”
 • “I am enjoying my therapy sessions as well as learning so much more about myself.”
 • “Kendall is sensitive, funny, and perfect for us. So glad we found him”
 • “He's and incredibly knowledgeable man and he listens and responds in such a way that he feels like a friend. I think very highly of this man and he is the best therapist that I've ever had the pleasure of speaking too.”
 • “Ken is great.”
 • “Kendall is the best therapist I’ve ever had. It’s a rarity to find someone as knowledgeable as they as personable.”
 • “Professional, kind, involved, supportive and great sense of humor.”
 • “I love working with Kendall. He is caring, human, and insightful. We have only met a couple of times and I already see improvements in my mood and situation. I like that he has given me tools and homework to work on so I can continue improving between our meetings. In the past, I have met with standoffish therapists and who respond to every discussion with "yes, but what do you think that means?" This was not helpful for me. With Kendal on the other hand, I feel heard and he contributes insights and tools that have helped me make improvements.”
 • “Very articulate and outside the box therapist. Good conversationalist and expresses a lot of good ideas.”
 • “Confident, professional and kind”
 • “Kendall is great, I look forward to our sessions every week. He’s patient and wants each party to be heard and resolve.”
 • “Kendall is a very good listener, kind and understanding. Very good communicator and makes very helpful suggestions.”
