About Joseph Barnes

I currently specialize in relationship counseling not limited to intimate relationships, but also everyday interactions i.e. working, organizational, non-traditional, casual, mutually beneficial, and structural. I am able to assist with communication which is a common underlying issue within relationship dysfunction. Whether a relationship exists in a professional or private setting, I am competent in adjusting a persons understanding of the situation to bring out the best outcome. I have lived in over 7 areas of the world and am open minded. The preferred methodologies for my treatment consist of but are not limited to Gestalt Therapy, Autogenic Training, CBT, Existential Therapy, and Grief Counseling.
My strengths lie in understanding, compassion, and experience. I am able to channel superior levels of comprehension in the following areas:
Abandonment
Depression
Jealousy
Lack of Trust
Anger Management
Insecurity
Relationship Strain
Everyday Challenges
Forgiveness
I am a firm believer in meeting the client where they are. I have worked with veterans for over 10 years. I have experience with newlyweds and those wishing to maintain a healthy relationship. I believe that every relationship is different and that they are constantly evolving over time.

“Joseph has been a great therapist. Great listener and provides valuable insight every session where we are able to come out with a greater understanding to navigate in a healthier and meaningful way in our relationship. We find that Joseph not just being a Christian, but a Christian who knows scripture well has been valuable in our sessions. “I really Enjoy talking to Joseph Barnes. He's extremely professional And helps me identify the things I'm having issues with. I was skeptical about getting therapy in the beginning because this is my first time. But I'm really happy. I made a decision to do so.. And I look forward to my weekly meetings.”

“I have had a positive experience with Joseph so far. From the moment I started with my partner, I felt completely heard and understood. They took the time to truly listen to me and asked thoughtful follow-up questions that helped us which encouraged to express myself more clearly. I felt safe and supported in our sessions, knowing that he approached everything with professionalism and empathy. Not only did he create a comfortable space for me to open up, but he also provided valuable insights that have been helpful in my journey and personal growth. It has been challenging finding the right therapist for us and I’m grateful for Regain and Joseph’s expertise and the positive impact our sessions have had.”
