“My therapist John is great after the first session, he recommended me one book and after listening to the book, I felt like he completely understood me. I feel like I’m always having a hard time getting people to understand me, but with John, I feel like he immediately understand what I’m trying to express. I am super excited to continue in this journey and becoming the best version of myself and I’m so happy to have John as my therapist to help me through this journey.”

“Professor Checkett is great at listening to me and getting to the bottom of what I'm feeling. He's supportive of me but also helps to ground my thoughts in reality and gives me insight into why I'm feeling how I feel. He checks my negative thoughts with active exploration, which is a habit I continue to follow outside of sessions.”

“Prof. Checkett is wonderful. He listens to your concerns, asks insightful questions, and gives you options. He makes you feel understood, that you are important, and that your feelings matter. I’ve never felt lesser. He makes, what I feel might be an awkward conversation or topic, be ok. He has helped me overcome myself. He has given me structure and techniques to handle my particular situation. He is my safe space to talk and discuss openly. I would highly recommend Prof. Checkett to anyone.”

“Prof Checkett can be all over the place with our talks sometimes but he always finds relevance in what I’m saying and gives me tools. He helps me understand different viewpoints and validates how I feel.”
