About Jill Fairhead

I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Bishop’s University in Quebec, Canada and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, USA.
I have been counseling for the past 10 years. My experience consists of providing individual therapy in an outpatient setting and via telehealth, and facilitating group therapies for adults and adolescents in residential and outpatient treatment settings.

Life can get messy, unmanageable and even unbearable at times. As your therapist, I’ll provide you with support, psychological education and guidance to help navigate through those difficult, challenging times. I chose this profession to help individuals improve their quality of life. I care about my clients and their welfare. Dealing with a disorder or making changes can be a difficult, challenging process. I’m here to help.

I am well versed in several therapeutic evidenced-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical behavioral therapy, and Stress Management/Mindfulness.

I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, negative self-talk, low self-esteem, mood instability, addiction, adjustments issues, relationship problems, ADHD, anger management, domestic violence, adoption, Borderline Personality Disorder, parenting issues, acculturation problems, and communication skills.
