About Jessica Rutowski

Hi, I’m Jessica, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas with five years of experience working with adults 18+. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and understood while working toward meaningful change.

My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), including CBT for psychosis (CBTp). I also integrate DBT-informed skills, person-centered therapy, cognitive adaptation training, and supportive therapy. I focus on practical, evidence-based tools while maintaining a compassionate and collaborative style.

I have experience working with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, bipolar disorder (including mania and hypomania), psychosis, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, suicidal ideation, self-harm, sexuality, gender dysphoria, and women’s issues. I have specialized training in psychosis and have successfully supported individuals experiencing delusions and hallucinations with respectful, stigma-free care.

I look forward to supporting you in building insight, stability, and skills for lasting change.

“I’ve only had a few sessions with Jessica, but I already feel really grateful I found her.
Even through online sessions, she makes it so easy to feel comfortable and connected. It never feels distant or awkward, she’s present, and really easy to talk to.
I’ve had moments where I come in feeling overwhelmed or stuck in my own head, and she has a gentle way of slowing everything down and helping me see things more clearly without ever making me feel judged.
What I appreciate most is that she listens in a way that actually makes you feel heard, like she’s really paying attention to you, not just your words.
I always leave our sessions feeling a little lighter and more grounded than when I started.
I’m really glad I took the step to start therapy again, and even more glad I found her.”
