Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
About Jessica
Hello, my name is Jessica. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio. I have a decade of experience working with adults managing chronic illness and all of the changes that come along with a medical diagnosis as well as anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues and more. At the heart of my work, I have a passion for helping people make meaningful change in their lives, being a resource and connector to helpful programs and services, and providing useful information in moments of overwhelm.
As a social worker (and human living in today’s world), I understand that life can present unexpected challenges- and no one needs to go through it alone. I strive to provide a comfortable and calming environment for clients. I am non-judgmental and easy to talk to. I like to incorporate cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness and distress tolerance skills into my work. Additionally, I am passionate about empowering my clients to become strong advocates for themselves.
My hope is that you feel less alone knowing support is available. It is normal to feel nervous talking to someone new, so I will tell you the initial session is low-pressure and we would start by talking about what led you to scheduling the session and getting to know each other better. Wishing you the best and I look forward to working together.
