About Jenny Ortega

My name is Jenny Ortega, and I was born in Havana, Cuba. I am fluent in Spanish and English, and I enjoy working with individuals from all cultures. I am an LCSW in the state of Florida. I graduated from Saint Leo University in 2016 with a Master’s in Social Work -Advanced Clinical Concentration. My training and background have provided me with the skills to work in many different settings with a diverse clientele. In addition to providing counseling and education for stress management and anxiety relief, I am experienced in working with those suffering from depression and other mood disorders. I have worked with vulnerable populations such as older adults, children and adolescents on the autism spectrum, survivors of physical and sexual abuse, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. I have a passion for working with women and children who have experienced trauma, and I am able to build trust while being sensitive to their special needs. I am mostly trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Client Centered, and Solution Focused Therapy, though I like to draw from multiple approaches and employ an eclectic style in therapy. My combined set of skills afford me the ability to treat in a holistic manner. I consistently add to my knowledge base by researching and attending educational training to enhance my professional skills. I will meet you where you are and provide support through whichever means you are most comfortable with, whether video, talk, or text. I hope to teach you skills that will make your life a bit easier. It is a privilege and an honor to join you on this journey to a healthier you!

“I’ve only had a few sessions, but Jenny is wonderful.”

“I have been working with Jenny for several years and have noticed profound changes in all aspects of my life, from work to my relationship to my family. I am so grateful for her multifaceted approach to problems; rather than focusing on how things make me feel, she pinpoints the root of the issue, and we unpack how to clear a path forward and through it. My life is significantly better because of her, and I wouldn't have been able to get through the challenging moments I've been through without her as a support, candor, and advice.”
