About Jamie

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with 10 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with family conflicts, trauma and abuse, eating disorders, & parenting issues.

During school I enjoyed working and volunteering with at risk communities in the Waco and Dallas area, such as the Methodist Children’s Home in Waco, and Prestonwood Pregnancy Center in Richardson. As a counselor I have worked with children, teens, young adults and women dealing with eating disorders, abuse recovery, school related issues and relationship issues.

Following my time as a stay-at-home-mom, I worked as a children’s minister, a preschool teacher, an administrative assistant at a middle school and opened my own bakery. I also have done some volunteer work with a counseling group offering large and small group weekend intensive counseling experiences. My kids and I stay busy with their activities, and volunteering at their schools and with our church.

I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

  • “Jamie is an excellent therapist who listens and cares. She is very thoughtful and provides great advice and insight. I love talking to her and hearing her perspective, especially since we share the same Christian beliefs.”
  • “Jamie has been a rockstar since day one. Great energy. But always able to adjust to her clients and make sure whatever she brings forth is appropriate. Really easy to build a connection with. Obviously has great knowledge of her work, as shes able to explain the same thing 3 different ways. This really speaks to her ability to connect with the client. With couples neither me nor my wife have ever felt like sides were being picked. Has always remained neutral but supportive to both parties! Cannot recommend Jamie enough!”
  • “She is amazing. Great at listening. Able to go at our processing pace and able to keep up to all of our topics while keeping us on track of our main topic and goals. Respectful and understanding as well as really knowledgeable. She responds to us to us in a timely manner and is accommodating. Overall this far it has been a very positive and helpful experience.”
  • “Caring, introspective and helpful.”
