About Heath Rossi

We’ve all had difficult experiences. These experiences can cause pain and suffering. I believe we can heal from these experiences and grow from them, becoming more of who we truly are and want to be. I have worked with a large range of life circumstances including anxiety, depression, medical illnesses, grief, self-esteem, LGBT and loss. In these painful experiences we all are faced with healing that pain. Through my academic studies, professional work and personal life experiences I have come to believe that healing is something which can be learned. My focus in counseling has been with individuals, couples and/or a group as a guide for people as they are healing through life.
Empowerment over life comes through thinking clearly and making wise choices. Unfortunately, problems can become so overwhelming that it is difficult to accomplish either one of these. We will focus on your goals and move at a pace that is comfortable for you. I can offer tools and suggestions for relief from many common and not-so common problems. I understand that a one-size-fits-all therapy approach is not always useful, so I will work with you to create personalized goals that fit with your experience.

As a committed provider of therapy, I take pride in offering the best care possible. I value all forms of diversity and encourage you to bring all aspects of yourself into our work together.

“I could not recommend Heath enough. I came into BetterHelp very hesitant and anxious about the idea of trying therapy. Heath made it easy to open up, was a great listener, would check in on me. He can help in a variety of ways, whether it’s talking through things, recommending a book or video or by giving a worksheet to help better understand things. He’s been patient, empathetic, honest and always willing to go above and beyond to help. He really cares about his clients and it shows.”

“Heath is very professional and has helped me put words and understanding to problems I have had my entire life allowing me to feel less alone and have a better grasp on my emotions and how they manifest.”

“Heath does a great job actively listening and providing support through good questions. He also uses the time well and sends links to videos to explore after the appointment. I fell like I get hours of knowledge and insight in our 30-45 minute sessions. He is down to earth and I enjoy discussing my headspace with him.”

“Heath has been a fantastic support through our session! From the very first session we had I could tell he understood my issues and was able to give me the support and help I was seeking. The materials he has suggested have all been wonderfully helpful and both helped me understand where my faults lie in my relationship as well as how to improve upon them. He has been q tremendous help in my relationship and I'm very happy to have received his help!”

“Great! Understood what I was looking for and was open and honest about portions that were not in expertise. Very knowledgeable and has great tools that were easy to view and immediately help.”

“Heath is an incredibly attentive, compassionate, and skilled therapist. He's incredibly supportive in assisting me in what I'm trying to do at my own pace, whether it's just needing an ear to vent that week or to dig deeper into the why behind my thoughts and feelings. He takes the time to listen and empathize with me without judgement and provides really good worksheets and supplemental material that I have found to be really helpful and has helped make some breakthroughs.
I've really enjoyed the time I've spent working with Heath - he's created a safe and comfortable environment where I've been able to be honest and make great progress towards my goals while making the undoable feel manageable. I'm really thankful that I've gotten the opportunity to work with him and highly recommend him for anyone considering.
Thank you Heath!”

“Working with Heath barely feels like work at all, it is more like I'm talking to a friend. He has made me feel very comfortable where I am in life & he makes me very comfortable guiding me in the direction I wish to head. He is able to empathize with me which makes me feel heard & validated. I enjoy the homework he assigns me, it works really well with my learning style & it's always relevant to what we have been talking about in our sessions. I still have a long way to go but Heath does a great job at breaking it down into manageable tasks, achievable goals & keeps me focused on the big picture all at the same time.”

“Heath is able to understand me at my level. Even though we only met a few months ago it feels like we've known each other forever and it is a great feeling knowing that he is here to listen and provide me advice.”

“Heath is one of the best therapists I’ve had, and I’ve worked with many. With good listening and reflection, I always feel better after a session. I’d recommend Heath to anyone.”

“I'm really happy with my therapist that I got matched up with! He is very inviting, kind and knowledgeable. He responds quickly to my messages and has already helped me manage my level of panic.”

“Heath is wonderful. As someone who has never been in therapy before, I was a little scared and nervous at first. Heath listened to me and dug into why I feel the way that I do and have the issues I have. Heath gave me plenty of worksheets and tasks to help better myself and deal with some of the negative behaviors I had.”

“He has helped me make huge leaps, and be successful in my marriage and life”

“I was assaulted and needed immediate help to regain my ability to go back to work . I was experiencing panic attacks and high levels of anxiety for the first time in my life that I had zero control over. He was super compassionate and listened to my needs and offered help in multiple ways . Having a concussion on top of it all made my ability to understand and track thoughts and ideas was difficult, so he met me where I was both physically and emotionally and dove in to help. I am doing much better after just two weeks of interactions with him! Thank you!”

“Heath has been such a helpful person to work with. He has supported me in the process of unpacking some of the rocks in my backpack in a way that feels natural.”

“Heath is an amazing therapist. He is a great listener and provides strong resources for the different situations we talk through. He has helped me in many positive ways on my mental health journey. 10/10 would recommend!”
