About Genny Luppino

I am a licensed counselor in the state of Michigan with a thriving online private practice. I have worked as a team-based therapist and case manager in a community mental health setting for over 3 years. I can provide services to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns like ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, self-esteem & confidence, stress, and life changes. I have a background in assisting people with substance use and abuse struggles [recovery and relapse]. I also helped many people who have experienced physical or emotional trauma and abuse in childhood and adulthood. I have experience in helping people with gender identity, sexual orientation, and other LGBTQA+ individuals can wrestle with. I am available for sessions on weekdays and weekends [both daytime and evenings]. I look forward to working together to process and overcome the difficulties you are experiencing in life right now.

My counseling style is warm, engaging, and nonjudgmental. I believe in treating everyone with respect, dignity, and compassion. It starts with me providing a safe place to speak openly during our therapy sessions. My eclectic approach utilizes different helping interventions from psychoeducational, person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, existential, and boundaries development. I customize our interactions and your treatment plan to match your needs and goals. I am a PROACTIVE therapist, which means we will be doing therapeutic work every session after the first 2 sessions. I love empowering people to learn new skills and techniques that will help them long after therapy has ended. I allow people to set their pace and goals for therapy to ensure that they get the most out of our time together.

It takes a lot for someone to recognize that they need someone to help guide them in fulfilling their goals and living an empowered life. When you are ready to make that move, I am here and available to support you all the way.

I look forward to working with you!

“Genny is awesome, very thoughtful and considerate of needs, timing constraints, etc. I would highly recommend her to anyone.”

“I simply cannot say enough good things about Genny. She has been instrumental in helping me through an extremely difficult time. I really can't imagine where I would be without her help”

“Genny really took the time to get to know me and not just the issues I was bringing up. She helped me work through things by making sure the advice was personable to me and not just generalized. She is so fun to talk to and I highly recommend her!”

“I am new to the therapy thing and she has made me feel comfortable and listens to what I'm going through. Love her!”

“I feel safe with her. That is the highest compliment I can give a therapist that I just started working with but she knows exactly what I need. When I hyper-focus and go down a rabbit hole…or vomit out all the thousands of thoughts going on in my head….or when she validates me…I feel safe. Safe. Because I logically know that I have a lifetime to deal with any and all of life’s crises but I might need to just say it…verbally, like my brain thinks it… and she’s a genius at continuously responding in a way that makes me feel safe. It feels completely genuine and that is saying a LOT considering what level of crisis I’m in. All that being said. I highly recommend Genny.”

“I have spoken with her once but I felt heard”

“I have been with Genny for two sessions now and I have to say the immense support, understanding, and mental health tips that I have received from Genny has been amazing! It’s been such a short time but I already feel alleviation of my daily anxieties and hopelessness. I feel lucky to have been matched with her!”

“Amazing”

“Genny is authentic and genuine. She makes me feel like I can really say anything and she will help me understand the words coming out of my mouth so I know why I even thought them in the first place. She has a lot of life experience to provide insight and I feel very confident in her commitment to working with me and helping me heal from generation trauma.”

“Genny is always a pleasure to work with. She offers lots of options as to how and when we do our therapy sessions. I would definitely recommend her!”
