About Dari Cosey

Hello! I’m grateful to currently work as a therapist for the past 9 years. I enjoy working with adults and families in various capacities. Some are in the areas of healing from grief related depression, anxiety, boundaries, mood management, marginalized communities, and family conflict. I especially love to help adults journey towards healing past traumas via eye movement desensitization/reprocessing therapy(EMDR), mindfulness based stress reduction(MBSR), and taking an internal family systems or parts work approach. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

“Dari has been very pleasant to work with! I enjoy our meetings and appreciate her expertise, flexibility, and therapy style.”

“I feel I was matched with a councilor that is perfect for what I need.”

“Honestly I appreciated her speaking to something I had only newly discovered in our first meeting; hyper vigilance. I just so happened to be writing and uncovering different things about myself and hyper vigilance came up. So, in our fist meeting when she mentioned it I was taken back a little because I found that out through my own research and self assessment and yet she was the first therapist to ever address it by that term at least. Not only that, I feel like she actually listens. That seems like it should be normal in therapy, but not always. So, I greatly appreciated actually feeling heard.”

“Dari is very knowledgeable and listens to what I have to say.”

“So far, I have throughly enjoyed my time and interactions with Dari. She has been very helpful and patient with me as I explore the beginning of my therapy journey. I feel thankful that Dari is the one I matched with and that our sessions and conversations have been going well so far.”

“I’ve been in therapy on and off for years and have seen about five therapists in my lifetime, but Dari is truly exceptional. She is direct and knowledgeable, encouraging without ever coddling. She’s patient when I’m struggling to understand something, and she takes the time to break things down and give me helpful printables that I can use between sessions.

She’s been walking me through IFS (a completely new approach for me) and doesn’t rush. She makes sure I really understand each step before moving forward. She also responds to my texts, which makes me feel supported even outside of session.

The biggest thing for me is trust. I feel safe leaning into her guidance, even when part of me wants to resist, because I know she has my best interests at heart. If you’re looking for someone who is compassionate, skilled, and steady, I highly recommend her.”

“Dari is an amazing empathetic listener with a lot of perspective and awareness.

Really glad I was blessed to get matched with her”
