About Dr. Curllin Alexis
As a licensed therapist serving clients in New York, I specialize in supporting Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse (ASCSA) who are navigating the long-term impact of trauma on their emotional well-being, relationships, and sense of self. Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, shame, loneliness, or patterns in relationships that are difficult to understand or change. Together, we create a space where these experiences can be explored with care, respect, and compassion.
My practice is dedicated to helping clients work through challenges such as social anxiety, difficulties with trust and communication, low self-esteem, grief, and major life transitions. I also support individuals who feel stuck in cycles of isolation or self-doubt and are seeking a deeper sense of connection, confidence, and personal clarity.
I bring a trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach, recognizing that each person’s story is shaped by their cultural background, identities, family systems, and life experiences. Many of my clients are navigating multicultural environments, workplace stress, or the complex task of building a life that aligns with their values while healing from past wounds.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, affirming, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I work alongside clients to help them better understand their emotional patterns, develop tools for managing anxiety and stress, strengthen boundaries and communication, and reconnect with their resilience and inner strengths.
Healing from trauma is not only about reducing pain—it is also about reclaiming your voice, rebuilding trust in yourself, and creating a life that feels meaningful and authentic. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and strive to offer a supportive environment where you can move at your own pace toward growth, healing, and lasting change.
