About Colleen Crooks
Hi, I’m Colleen! I am a therapist who believes that genuine connection is the foundation of meaningful change. I earned my degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Connecticut (UCONN) and my clinical degree from Simmons University. I’ve spent the past ten years working with individuals across a wide range of settings in the mental health field. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. I strive to create a space where you can feel at ease, understood, and supported as you explore whatever brought you to therapy. Clients often tell me that I’m warm, personable, and easy to talk to which are qualities I value deeply in this work. I use CBT and DBT most often.Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, I’m here to walk with you at your pace and help you build tools that genuinely fit your life. My goal is to make therapy feel less intimidating and more like a conversation that helps you grow, heal, and thrive.
