About Christie Hines

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 8 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and difficulties that can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed or stuck. I also have experience working with military service members and understand the unique challenges that can come with military life, relationships, career transitions, and adjusting to change.
My therapy style is warm, supportive, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable being yourself and know that you have a space where you can speak openly without fear of judgment. I also believe therapy can include humor and genuine conversation while still doing meaningful work.
My approach is primarily grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Depending on your needs, we may work on challenging unhelpful thought patterns, managing anxiety and stress, improving communication, developing healthier coping strategies, strengthening emotional regulation, or simply creating a pause between what you are feeling and how you respond. I believe in meeting you where you are and tailoring therapy to your individual needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
Reaching out for therapy can feel uncomfortable, especially if you are used to handling things on your own. Whether you know exactly what you want to work on or you just know that something needs to change, we can start there. This is where you will find a soft place to land.
I look forward to getting to know you and working together toward the changes you would like to see in your life.
