About Arthur (AJ) Spoerner

Hi, my name is Arthur J Spoerner (AJ) . I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Indiana with over 20 years of experience providing integrated interventions to help adults and adolescents that have experienced complex trauma, difficulty with impulsivity, anger management, and ADHD.

I have a particular interest in providing interventions, strategies, and support to adults and adolescents with chronic pain, illness, disability, distress related to cancer treatment, as well as end-of-life issues.

I hope to provide you with interventions and strategies to help you with negative thinking and believes that are impacting your behavior and are causing you pain and distress. You have taken an enormous step by finding this site and finding a counselor to meet your needs. I will be honored if you choose to work with me.

Please be aware that I only do audio or video counseling. I provide therapy on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Evenings. My sessions are 45 minutes for the first session and 30 minutes thereafter. I check my messages only once a day, usually in the evening. Any messages left after 8:30 pm will be answered on the following day. I’m very sorry, but I do not provide emergency services. However, if you feel a need for urgent help or that you are in crisis at any time during our work together, please call 1-800-273-8255 24 hours a day, call 911, or go to your local Emergency Room. I want to make sure you know who to contact if you need immediate help.
