About Anna Childs

I am a licensed therapist in Wisconsin with over 12 years of experience working with children (ages 6+), adolescents, and adults, in a variety of settings. I hold a Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, a Bachelor’s degree from UW–Eau Claire, and an Associate’s degree from Fox Valley Technical College. Additionally, I earned a specialized certificate from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in support of my clinical work.

I specialize in helping clients manage a variety of symptoms, some of which include: anxiety, coping with addiction, navigating family conflict, and healing from trauma, prolonged stress, and dissociative disorders.
My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and integrative. I am EMDRIA-trained through EMDR and Beyond and have pursued specialized EMDR training with Ana Gomez, focusing on developmentally appropriate trauma treatment for children. I also incorporate EMDR-Sandtray practices, which allow clients—especially younger ones—to process trauma through expressive, nonverbal means.

In addition to EMDR, I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Polyvagal Theory to support nervous system regulation, parts work, and deep emotional healing. Whether we are working with talk therapy, somatic awareness, or creative modalities, I strive to create a compassionate and empowering space where healing unfolds at your pace.

It takes strength to seek change. I’m here to support and guide you on your journey toward greater clarity, resilience, and well-being. Whether you’re taking the first step or continuing your journey, I’m here to walk alongside you—offering support, guidance, and empowerment every step of the way.

“I’ve had such a positive experience working with Anna. She is incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful in her approach, and it’s clear how much she genuinely cares about her clients. I was initially hesitant about virtual therapy, but she completely changed my perspective, it feels just as personal, supportive, and effective as in-person sessions.

She creates a space where I feel safe, heard, and understood, while also challenging me in ways that encourage real growth. I always leave sessions with new insights and a stronger sense of direction. I’m truly grateful for the support and guidance she provides.”
