About Amber Williams

Hello! My name is Amber and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working in several therapeutic settings to include outpatient clinical services, skilled living facilities, community mental health, and nonprofit healthcare services. I have also served clientele within the social services, law enforcement, and military communities ranging from foster care and adoption, criminal offenders and active duty members.

I received my undergraduate degree in Social Work at the University of Tennessee at Martin and my Masters degree in Social Work at Western Kentucky University. I am dual-licensed in Florida and Tennessee specializing in family conflict, relationship issues, domestic violence, anger management, depression, stress and anxiety.

I would best describe my approach as open and client centered. I encourage each client to play an active part in their treatment, through use of motivational interviewing, to encourage insight and self-empowerment. I also value the use of supports whether they be family, friends, professionals or helpful coping skills. Throughout my lifetime and professional career, I’ve found that mental health is always at the forefront of personal success. I’m happy to be a part of a profession that makes it okay to prioritize YOU first!

“She is very helpful, understanding and most importantly transparent and trustworthy. I am glad she’s my therapist and the little time we have spent together has still help me grow.”

“Amber is a good listener and gives great advice and tools to use. I also love the HW assignments.”

“She’s amazing and listens to everything and helps you with anything”

“When my husband and I first started therapy we were both a little hesitant, since neither of us have ever done therapy before. For our first couple of sessions Amber did an individual session with each of us, before bring us together for our first joint session. She does this so that she can hear each of our concerns separately and see where we each were. It is easier to voice your concerns when your partner isn't there. Then when we did start our joint sessions, she was attentive and listened to what stressors we were currently dealing with, and helped us navigate our way through those. She gave us lots of helpful advice, and tools for us to be able to communicate with each other more effectively. She taught us so many important things, that have helped to bring us closer as a couple. A marriage only works if both partners put in the time and effort. Otherwise it will collapse and you will lose the thing most dear to you, your partner.”

“Very happy so far.”

“Amber it’s a great listener. She analyzes the situation and gives good advice.”

“She's the best and has been so helpful over the past couple of years.”

“Me and my partner had only 3 sessions with her in total, but what we have noticed from the start is that Amber really has a tremendous amount of knowledge. We live in the middle east, so most of the sessions are midnight sessions for us, but we chose to stay just because we have faith in Amber and we know that with her knowledge, she can guide us to have a better relationship. She listens… and when I say listens .. I mean DEEPLY and with great respect and attention to details. You can tell she’s a professional.”

“I've only had a couple sessions with Amber Williams but each time I have walked away feeling better about the week ahead of me, or how to tackle a new problem. I think Amber takes her time to get to know the client, which I love. I never feel rushed, she listens and helps me come up with solutions and even provides tools after the sessions that I can use in my daily life. 10/10.”

“I 100% recommend Amber! She is very understanding. She is the first therapist I’ve had that I felt understood and had a connection with”

“This is the first time I've stuck with therapy for longer than a few weeks and Amber has everything to do with it. She's an excellent listener, and gives advice that feels like it's coming from an experienced friend. She also pushes me just enough so that I make noticable progress in key areas, which gives me the positive feedback I need to keep chipping away at improving my mental health.”

“Amber is a great listener and makes me feel comfortable. I look forward to her observations and suggestions during meetings.”

“She’s amazing. Very attentive. Always listens and challenges me to grow outside of my comfort zone.”
