About Jovia
I am a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) with over six years of clinical experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. My experience includes working with individuals and families experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, career-related stress, ADHD, conduct-related concerns, legal system involvement, and the effects of trauma and emotional abuse.
My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and interactive. I believe every individual deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, and understanding. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore their experiences without fear of stigma. When working with children and adolescents, I recognize the importance of family relationships and collaboration with caregivers in supporting meaningful progress. I work with families to strengthen communication, navigate challenges, and build healthier relationships.
My approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), humanistic therapy, psychodynamic principles, and rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT). I recognize that each person’s experiences and needs are unique, so I tailor my therapeutic approach and treatment plan to support individual goals, build on existing strengths, and promote meaningful, lasting change.
Seeking therapy takes courage. Whether you or your child are navigating a difficult season, working through past experiences, strengthening relationships, or seeking greater emotional well-being, you do not have to navigate the journey alone. I am here to support, guide, and empower you as you work toward healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life.
I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward positive change!
