Dr. Alexandria Arthur
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
About Alexandria
I am licensed in Virginia with 10 years of professional work experience and have a Doctoral Degree in Mental Health. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse, motivation, self-esteem, confidence, & depression. I also have experience working with coping with life changes. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey. My path to becoming a mental health provider stems from a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate trauma and reclaim their lives through comprehensive, integrative care. Over the past nine years in practice, I have specialized in EMDR, prolonged exposure therapy, CBT, crisis intervention, and holistic treatment modalities. This journey ultimately led me to found H.O.M.E. LLC (Hope Over My Experiences). Today, I serve as a clinical supervisor, where I not only guide our clients toward deep emotional healing but also oversee and collaborate closely with a talented team of resident counselors to ensure every person receives exceptional, dual-clinician-backed support across every walk of life. “Success is watching our clients conquer what they once thought was impossible and finding new motivation to transform their daily lives/lifestyles.” One of my strengths is understanding that each individual is just that: an individual. Each person has their characteristics, emotions, behaviors, and so on. That means that each client’s treatment journey will be individualized. I focus on the person in front of me and am determined to support them in any way I can because, at the end of the day, I want my clients “Happy, Healthy, and Safe”.
