About Portia

I’m a therapist with a decade of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of life challenges. My work is grounded in a person-centered approach that honors your unique background, values, and identity.

I specialize in helping clients navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, and life transitions. I also work with concerns including communication difficulties, life purpose and meaning, social anxiety, guilt and shame, panic attacks, body image, caregiver stress, mood disorders, financial concerns, young adult issues, multicultural experiences, and self-harm.

As a Black woman and person of faith, I bring authenticity and cultural understanding to my work. I’m committed to creating a therapeutic space that feels affirming, respectful, and aligned with your values and worldview.

My approach integrates evidence-based practices with genuine care and compassion. I believe in meeting you where you are, listening deeply, and collaborating with you toward meaningful growth and healing. I’m honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
